I was born in Devonport England and immigrated to New Zealand in 1952. Art was my preferred subject at school - my teacher Owen Lee. I started my career as a cartographer and later a draughtsman. In the 1970's, and by then following a different non-drawing career, the urge to paint and draw returned and has never gone away.
A love of the land and sea has led to landscapes being my favoured subject. Since the 1970's I have exhibited in several joint and solo exhibitions around New Zealand, most recently at the Art Post Gallery, Hamilton.
Commissions and purchasers have come from as far afield as the USA, Australia, and Europe. Feel free to contact me if you are interested to commission a painting.
